My artist friend, Jerry Takigawa, and I will discuss the stories behind our art in the context of the 75th Commemoration of the A Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Why did we create our images and why? Why now? Our art explores the wartime experiences of our families and the challenges of growing up in the 1950s, 60s and 70s in American as Japaneae Americans and how Americans view Asian Americans.
